2 Months to Go...

It's hard to believe that the snow is gone and spring is here. For my handyman and I, this means that we are inching closer and closer to a hopeful June 1st start date. Depending on the areas road restrictions, we hope to dig the hole as soon as possible and get going on what is sure to be a very busy summer. In order to hopefully make the process as easy & smooth as possible, my handyman is busy getting quotes and prices from pretty much everyone in town. We have also been able to select and start purchasing many of the finishes in our soon to be dream home such as:

CaesarStone Quartz Countertops in "Nougat"

A beautiful alder kitchen table & chairs from Faveri's Unpainted Furniture

Electrolux Appliances including a double wall oven

Hardwood Floors

In addition to all of these finishes, shingles, siding and shakes have been selected and exterior stone is soon to follow. Besides paint colours, which I am purposely leaving until the end, it seems that almost everything has been selected. This has really helped us visualize the home and ensure that we are happy with everything before it is too late!

On the baby front, things are going great! I am anxiously awaiting any first movements (should be any day now!) I have already promised this baby that its room will be complete by the time it joins us, so hopefully it won't arrive too early!
