A Mountain View...

I have been hearing some grumbling about my lack of posting lately so I thought I better hop to it and update the blog with something even though not much has been taking place out at Clarence lately.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend we were invited to a lovely dinner out at lot 5. When we purchased our 4.3 acres, we didn't realize that it came with a mountain view!

Just like Banff, right?

Another "exciting" development has been our first house purchase - a tiller. What's a tiller you (and I) might ask?? A tiller is an accessory for the tractor that digs and breaks up the soil so that we can plant grass seed and grow our much anticipated gardens! Here is a picture of the beloved tiller:

We have pretty well finalized our house plans and have started to think about some of those finishing details and have also applied for our first building permit because June is just around the corner (at least we hope it is!).

In other news, our Clarence Road Project has welcomed our newest crew member, a little lady born October 1st, 20o9. She arrived just in time to start helping us out! Her older brother is already all set to help with his own set of tools - we will have to get a pink set for this Sweet Girl.

We have also heard through our lot 5 spies that both lots across the street from us have been sold as well. According to our sources, one of the families who purchased lot 3 have a 5 year old, 3 year old, and another on the way so we are expecting a busy bus stop one day at the end of Clarence Rd - just the way we like it.

Happy Days!!

  1. Love the tiller-we are going to have to come over for some fresh veggies from your garden. Promise to plant carrots, okay? Love the entry, and thanks for including Sweet Girl. She loves you guys already!

  2. Thank you for the new entry! Your mountain view is fabulous. Would have fooled me had I not been out to see the "mountains" myself today. Beautiful tiller (I think - I don't think I have ever seen one before so it's hard to compare!)Thanks for all the goodies you brought for dinner, and for being here with us. Can't wait to see your house! June will be here before you know it.

  3. It will be so great to have your country place, but still have neighbours/families so close. It could be a very busy place this summer with lots sold across the road and possibly starting their building as well. We are excited for you guys and can't wait to be "construction hands" as needed this summer!
    ***Sweet Girl is adorable!!
