Unexpected Progress

Because road restrictions are not lifted in the area of St.Clements until June 1st of each year, our road was unexpectedly completed this past weekend. This will allow our house to be started as soon as the weather permits next spring!

My handyman was in his glory driving around on the Bobcat all day...

Here is the mostly finished product...

Our great, great friends and neighbors have made substantial progress and are almost ready to settle in for the winter. The garage is nearing completion, beautiful counter tops are installed, and furniture is finding its place in their spectacular home.

While I was waiting for the Bobcat to be parked for the day, I started to think about all the wonderful family and friends that my handyman and I have been truly blessed with. Everyone has been so unbelievably supportive and helpful throughout our lives, marriage, and multiple moves and we both feel so lucky!! It makes me so happy to imagine each and every person we love enjoying this house and this space with us. This house will be a house of love, of laughter and of all around good fun.

  1. Looks like a great road. I might even try it with the Honda, although since there is nothing at the end yet, I guess there is not much point in doing that!
Can't wait to enjoy your house with you. It will be the scene of lots of fun and laughter, I know, and a good deal of food!

  2. I can hardly wait to come visit you at your house!!! Handy Man looks like he is having a lot of fun! Maybe Mr. Trooper can come over some time and go for a ride on the Bob with him? :)

  3. That would be great! I think they would both equally LOVE that. Maybe Cole will chant "Buy It!" just like when shopping for cars??

That's a very impressive road! I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous about Jason driving the bobcat! I can't wait until spring to start to see what your house will look like!!!
