30ish days and counting...

It has been a busy spring so far as our Clarence Road Project start date is about 30 days away. Once road restrictions are lifted by the local RM, the excavator can dig our hole and the concrete forms for the basement can be poured. With exception to a few details such as wall colours and the odd light here and there, most everything has selected and purchased. The apartment was starting to look a little like an episode of "Hoarders" until we were fortunate enough to obtain some storage at friends and parents homes.

With the house start date getting closer, our move in date is getting closer. With our move in date getting closer, so is another due date that seems to be approaching quicker than I can believe sometimes! I am 23 weeks now, which is more than half way there, and the baby is apparently about the length of a banana and weighs about 1 lbs! Here is a shot from my recent ultrasound...

Any guesses on whether or not we have a boy or a girl in there? I have been loving feeling its little movements and can't wait until we can put a name to this beautiful face.

  2. You both are amazing! Most people find home building so stressful due to all the decisions to be made - certainly not like you two clear-minded ones, with so many decisions already made.
As for the name, "Kathleen Shannon Clare" is still waiting to be used, Shannon of course for the River Shannon where Landscape was situated. Although you could go with "Red" for the Red River where you are homesteading...red hair is on both sides of the family :-)!
Mr. Trooper's names are the best though!

  3. Claire would work for me too, being my middle name. The baby would share it with Hannah. However, I still am placing my bets on Rapunzel, with just Rap if it's a boy.

  5. I guess it could be "Carrie" how you wished your name was spelled Kari...but I'm sorry, it still brings up images of the movie for me,so maybe not!!
As for Rap...likewise with images of the little one with his/her little ball cap sideways rapping,so my vote may not go that way....Rapunzal??? Maybe...she did live happily ever after :-)
